A second story deck with some added detail. The family wanted to cover up more of the framing so we designed and installed extra trim and added cedar boards to the posts to make everything look a little more complete. They also wanted something a little different than what is usually done for railing so we designed several options for them and came away with a wood and iron combination. It definitely adds an element that stands out and looks really sharp up close or from a distance. Instead of having a flat front for the deck’s edge, we gave a small section a little curve. The curve added a little extra space and showcased how we can make customized changes that will make every deck or design a little different from anyone else.
